Comments

I think you're story was great! I actually though at first that it was about you, but then I realized it was just a story. You're writing was really good because I was really intrigued while I was reading it.

I can relate to Dodie Smith. When I was little I wanted to be an actress, but as I am growing up I feel like that's the impossible. But as people say nothing is impossible so I'm not sure to give up or not.

I really like how you format it to like a journal entry. The story was really good! I definitely enjoyed it!

I also like to be on my bed with no lights only the lamp by my bed and with no glasses. Just having the book up close with no glare from the glasses frame is the best!

I agree, I think when we talk about negative things it makes things more negative. For instance, if we are gossiping about a rumor is would then spread somehow making it more of a big deal that it already wasn't. It might lead use sad or even upset, so yes I do believe if we talk about negative things it will give it too much power and can affect us in a harmful way.

I really like the story, it reminds me of AP Psychology when we watch a movie about a doctor trying to help the patient.

That's a really interesting question. I also had that question as well like what is my purpose and why I am here. Am I suppose to seek my purpose or am I suppose to wait for my purpose to appear in front of me. I ask those questions sometimes though it becomes to deep and I can't find the answers to that, so I stop seeking or the answer and go with the flow.

Your dream is very interesting. If I had that dream I would be to scared to even try to walk back in the house, but I'm also curious as to whether had happen to that little boy.

I really like your Haiku, I wish that was me right now just sleeping for a very long time.

I really like this, it's very meaningful and very deep. My favorite line is "Today, I stand up to this oligarchy. I use words instead of strength."

Artist Profile: Andrea Pozzo

Andrea Pozzo, the son of Jacopo Pozzo and Lucia Pozzo was born in Trento, Italy on November 30, 1642. He studied Humanities at Jesuit High School and started his training to become an artist with his father help by receiving artistic training from Palma il Giovane.
During Pozzo lifetime/ career the Thirty Years' War was still happening, King Charles was beheaded, War between English and Dutch started, Edo Burns in Japan, and plague arrive in Marseilles, France. He didn't struggle or have a lot of challenges because he loved to paint. One of his hardest and most precious work was the painting of the ceiling of the St.Ignatius Church, he also traveled too much, and his many challenges was painting big beautiful ceilings.
One thing most people might not know about Pozzo is he is also a writer and an architecture.
He mostly stayed in one style of painting, which is Baroque. His painting is associated with Catholicism of the Counter Reformation.
His three famous work are Church of Sant'Ignazio, Frescoes, and Ljublijana Cathedral.
The two piece by Pozzo that I like is The Glorification of Saint Ignatius, which is a beautiful painting on the ceiling of a church and The Deeds of Hercules and his Apotheosis, which is also a painting on the ceiling of the Hercules Hall in a palace.

New Papers

THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC!
Music is something everyone needs
It's a perfect melody that
everyone can relate to. With music
nothing is needed to be done. Just sit and listen,
it might make you happy, cry, or sad. But you love it
you love how it knows your feelings so well.

"Many years spending time with her husband."

Growing up I was always afraid of marriage. I was afraid of the thought that a marriage does not work out and would lead to divorce. I grew up saying I'm not going to get marry. People thought I was weird. They ask, "Why?" I never really gave them an answer. I just grow up learning getting a divorce is a sin and that's why I'm always afraid. I also don't like how the individuals promise to be together and get married by the church and they just broke it off and get a divorce. I feel like marriage should be a meaningful thing, but as I'm getting older everyone seem to not take it seriously.

When I was in 2nd grade I remember wanting a puppy so bad. I search online and see what type of dogs I wanted. I manage to choose my top 3 and I print out the pictures. The next morning I bring that sheet of paper with me to school and I would as my classmates which dog should I get and I would tally-mark it. During lunch I would ask the people around me and during recess I would walk around asking people. The pug ended up being the winner. So now I have the dog that I wanted I went to ask my parents for a pug. But the started nagging how it's hard to take care of a dog especially with a big family like ours and no one is going to take care of the puppy. Now I'm older I realize taking care of a dog is a lot of responsible. More responsibility than I had imagine when I was 7 years old.

When I was little I wanted to be an actress. I wanted to do any outrageous roles I can possibility do just because I thought it was fun. I really love acting. I like the idea of becoming someone for a little while and be about to document it through TV shows or movies. I took drama and I realize acting is more to it than you think. A lot of people think it's easy, but it really is not. You have to memorize the lines and you have to portray the character you are playing. It's hard, but I love it.

Don't Ever Tell

You want to scream at the top of your lungs. You want to be heard, but that's not possible. You have to be silent. The less you speak the more you won't get hurt. Although you feel like you're alone. No one is there for you. No one, but yourself. You tried to be passive because he might like you more. You tried to be more kind, softer, and quiet. You even tried acting like someone you are not. Is it worth it? Probably not, but did you stop? No. You want to tell anybody, anybody that would listen, but you don't want to deny the fact that you still love the man that once broke your heart. So you promise yourself that you don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody you once loved.

Happy Ever After

In the town, there were two mutes and they were always together. Nothing can separate them. There was a routine. They would wake up early in the morning and go for a walk. When they were done they would stop by their favorite breakfast spot. Pancakes top with strawberries, whip cream, and syrup for him. Scrambled eggs and sausages for her. After they had finished eating they would return home. But that's all we see. Behind those door of their house is all but a mystery. You want to know how they met? Well... one day she was sitting in front of her porch reading a book, he came passing by and I guess it was love at first sight. Well he didn't have the courage to come up to her because he was different and thought she would not love him because he was mute. But just like a fairytale they stumble upon each other and never separated from that day and live happy ever after.

Famous First and Last Line

"In the town, there were two mutes and they were always together."

Carson McCullers, born as Lulu Carson Smith on February 19, 1917,
in Columbus, Georgia. She first wanted to be a musician and started taking piano lesson at the age of 10, but as a child she  experience rheumatic fever and it led her put her dreams of becoming a musician aside. She then started to explore writing and her first novel, which gained a lot of success was called, The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter. It is a about a guy named John Singer, who is deaf and mute. He has a best friend who left to some fort of asylum due to craziness. John all by myself start to wander around town and got notice by four individuals that would soon depend on him with their life. Through the years the dour individual would share their stories, worries, and problems to John. Although they don't know that he is as clueless as they are about life. I think I would not read this book because I feel like this book is sad. I like that it shows you different stories about the four individuals, but I don't like reading books that is full of worries and problems. Also I have a feeling that the book is not going to have a happy ending, which reminds me of so much of the book, Mice and Men. In which I don't like.

"Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody."

J.D.Salinger was born on January 1, 1919. He wanted to become a writer after military and he had his work published on, The New Yorker, which was his favorite magazine. He then publishes his landmark novel, The Catcher in the Rye, which set a new course for literature. It was about a guy name Holden who got ax and was suppose to leave school. He got into a fight with his roommate and left two days earlier. He adventure around New York before going home. Encounter and interacting with teachers, nuns, prostitutes, an old girlfriend, and his sister along the way. After the book was published Salinger lived a secluded life and published on more book before he died. I was introduced to this book in English 3 H. When Ms.Self gave us a summary for the book, it didn't really catch my attention and still today it doesn't. I just don't find the book interesting.
